A: No, you don't need to select a category. If you leave the category as 'All Categories', Gokivo Navigator searches for all points of interest that match the name entered in the "What" field. You can also search for everything near your current location. Simply leave the 'What' field blank.
To search for all nearby restaurants, highlight the 'Category' field and scroll right to the category list and select 'Eating & Drinking'. Leave the 'What' field blank.
Q: The place I'm looking for doesn't appear in the results of the Local Search. Why?
A: Businesses come and businesses go. It takes awhile for the Gokivo database to be updated. We update the database every three months. Click here to update Gokivo
Q: How do I use Gokivo Navigator to find the gas prices?
A: Use Local Search to search for gas stations. Gokivo Navigator shows a list of gas stations sorted by distance from the location you entered for the search. The lowest price station will come up as the top result.

Enter the recipient, place, and message, and then click 'OK' to send.

Q: Can I save favorite places?
A: Yes, You can save your home and work addresses in My Places. In addition, you can save any search result, or any address you enter, into your 'Favorites' by selecting 'Options' (right soft key) and then selecting 'Save to Favorites'.

Q: Every time I try to use Gokivo, it says "Could not process your GPS request. Please make sure that GPS services is set to Location on. Please navigate to Options, then select Advanced Options, then select GPS and change the 'GPS Services' option to 'Location On' to resolve this issue. [1012]"?
A: It is possible that your phone is set to get your location only when you dial 9-1-1. Look on the status bar at the top of your phone. If the icon looks like this
, your phone is not enabled to get your location, and Gokivo will not be able to get your location. Please navigate to Options, then select Advanced Options, then select GPS and change the 'GPS Services' option to 'Location On'. The icon on the phones main page
will now show that your location can be accessed.
Q: Why am I getting a "Could not process your request. Please try again. [2001] or [2002]"?
A: It is possible that you are not in a good coverage area. You may not be getting service in the area where you are attempting to get a request. Move around safely and look for better coverage, and then attempt the request again.

A: You may have gone off the route created by Gokivo. Select ‘Yes" and Gokivo will recalculate your location and create another route to your destination. It is also possible that you may be outside of the GPS or data coverage area. Try your request again when you are in a better data coverage area.
